Pulse diagnosis is one of important diagnosis methods in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). From a hemodynamic point of view, the arterial pulsation comes from the beating of the heart. So it is necessary to analyze these TCM pulse waveforms by hemodynamic methods. A hemodynamics method is used to calculate the pulse waveform velocity (PWV) and pulse reflection factor (Rf), which reflects the arterial elastic characteristic. Relevance between PWV, Rf and time-domain parameters of pulses is analyzed in this study. The result shows there is a positively correlated correlation between PWV and w/t with statistical significance. There is a positively correlated correlation between Rf and h3/h1 with statistical significance too. It is concluded that the time-domain parameter w/t can reflect the pulse wave velocity and h3/h1 can reflect the intensity of reflection wave.
